Breath Two
Darkened branches reach for the heavens.
The moon casts its pale light upon the ground.
As a snow-white blanket shines beneath its glow.
But now, that beauty fades without a sound.
As Venus takes her leave, her grace to depart.
The frosty air is sharp against the cheek.
Yet still the deer observe, silent and free.
And like dust, a wandering breeze's friend.
Endlessly drifting through the open air.
Without a purpose, journey without end.
Traversing lands, through valleys.
A force, unseen but felt in every way.
A whisper on the skin, a brush of breath.
Mingling with scents of morning and day.
Exchanging secrets with nature.
No weight, no anchor, always on the move.
No burden to tie it down,
Nor a chain life's mysteries.
It dances to the groove of hope, freedom,
And all that joy.
