Whisper

As whispering love sonnets read their notes,

Fingers caressed wavy hair.

Their scarlet ribbons were flowing in the wind.

Applause from beneath silk gowns,

As flesh and bone, previously cold as marble,

Awoke to life.

Unshackled from the doubt of yesterday,

Drinking season's spring,

Breathing into the lungs is as blessed as any beginning.
