They arrived under cover of rain.
Cloaked in the downpour's towel.
Sleek bodies weave through the river's heaving nightmare.
Compelled by the relentless currents of the sky and dreams.
Thoughts thrashing—flee, flee from rendering anguish.
Night's agents in the sodden camouflage of storms,
Furtive shapes gliding, meshed with the river's roar.
With the iron pulse of the deluge,rage, funnelled.
Into the torrent's chant—a choir of liquid tumbling.
Minds caught in the watery throes, the swirl and pulse of nature's intent.
